The American Academy of Hospitality Sciences, founded in 1949 in the United States of America by Mr. Frank Sinatra and Mr. Joseph Cinque, was extraordinarily pleased to grant the highest and most prestigious award in the world for hospitality, the "Five Star Diamond Award”, to The Alest Hotel, on September 1, 2022.

The evaluation criteria used by the "International Board of Trustees" so that The Alest Hotel could attain the renowned Five Star Diamond Award factored in the exceptional spaces on the property, its European and avant-garde personality, its timeless interior design with Mexican touches, its furnishings, the elegance and the level of sophistication found in every detail, the outstanding quality of service, the warmth of the staff and its prime location in the heart of Polanco.

The Academy applauds their leadership, their excellent work ethic, and the arduous commitment of the team for this first anniversary of operation celebrated by The Alest Hotel, which makes it the first boutique category property in Mexico to receive the highest award worldwide, the "Five Star Diamond Award”, which will lead sophisticated travelers from all over the world to visit and recognize it as one of the best properties worldwide.

The evaluations were based mainly on: Hospitality, experience, excellent service, architectural design and interior design, gastronomy, ambiance, quality, cleanliness, attitude, personality, location, and VIP clientele.
